• These two…

Almost weekend and I am spending my evening with these two lovely girls by my side planning for this year’s dog shows. With COVID restrictions gone in Denmark and here in Sweden we hope that there will be larger number to participate in this year compared with what was there the last two.

  • Heat

As you all know by now we are waiting for Oonah to start with her heat. So as soon as I see a drop of blood on the floor I get excited. Is it her? Are we there now? So when I saw the first drop of blood, two weeks ago, I already saw Oonah’s and Milan’s puppies being born. Unfortunately it was not her blood, it was Heidi’s. A couple of days went by and then new blood drops and my hopes woke up again just to disappear in a puff of smoke minutes later. It was not Oonah,…

  • Happy, healthy hearts

Starting the weekend with some happy news. Today both Milan and Oonah gott their hearts checked by the heart specialist Torkel Falk. The result: they both have healthy hearts! As this was the great opportunity for Milan and Oonah to meet for the first time we went to this beautiful dog park nearby and let them spend some time together. They both liked eachother from the first sight which made me glad as I really want all our litters to be product of mutual affection between the couple. Now we are waiting for Oonah to get in heat so that…

  • Evening play

One evening, maybe a week ago, we happen to meet our neighbours’ lovely young dog Milou. It was fun to watch him play with our young girls.

  • What a beautiful day

After a week full of meetings for both David and me, we could not resist the urge to get out and get some sunlight when we realized that we both had no meetings between 14.00 and 15.00. Sun was shining and you could feel the warmth coming from it just like it was a promise that the spring will be here soon and with it new adventures.

  • Possible colors of planned litter

There are many things to look for when planning a litter. Health of the ancestors, loss of ancestors and inbreeding coefficient, male’s and female’s strengths and weaknesses and so on. All these things we look at prior to deciding the male. But once this has been decided and the loooong waiting for the female to get in the heat starts, we look forward to things like for example the possible colours of the puppies. So in this post we will share some basics about colours and which colours of the little ones we hope for. There are many genes that…

  • Dottie love

Sommarvindens Star Of Milky way has grown up into a beautiful young saluki bitch. There are no words that can describe how much I love her. Her kind and loving soul is so beautiful. She loves to be close to me and to follow each step I take.

  • Happy news from Denmark!

Today we say hurrah for Sommarvindens Star Of Milky Way *Dottie* who was placed 1st out of 6 bitches in Open class and later ended up as 2nd Best Bitch with reserve Certificate at Myndeklubben’s Christmas dog show in Strøby, Denmark. Huge thank you to the judge Andre van den Broek, Holland, for liking our girl.

  • A bed full of love

A bed full of love. Most of the day our babies sleep like this while we sit in our video meetings. But now time has come for us humans to be as relaxed as our doggies, at least over the weekend. Or, in another words: dear sofa, here I come.  Wish you all a fantastic weekend!

  • Happy news from Norway!

We are so proud of Janne and Nomi ( Sommarvindens Star Light) who got Ex. 1 with CK in open class at the Nordic dog show in Sandefjord – Melsomvik today. Well done girls!
